Fantastic Showing!
Recently it has been very busy in the Fashion Design program here at Clary Sage College! Just last week we had 8 of our students compete in two different Design competitions. We had a very strong showing in both the Fashion’s Night Out luncheon design competition sponsored by local fine fabric boutique, the Cloth Merchants, and the Miss Jackson’s sponsored competition where the inspiration was a different food item per competitor; several of the inspirational food items that our students were assigned were kiwi, pomegranate, Jell-O, onion, radicchio, and pumpkin to create their garments in a literal or a very loose interpretation. The students presented fantastic creations. We invite you to stop by the design lab next week to view their work.
Aside from the competitions going on, we also had two of our evening students present an entire collection in the local annual charity fashion show the Project. Julie Schafer and Hattie Eubanks put together some incredible collections that introduced them and their image to Tulsa! Local boutiques have already approached them for securing pieces to sell in their stores. These gals are superstars!
