What if I told you that taking care of your skin was less about appearance and more about general health? Your skin is your largest organ, so it is essential to prioritize it. This is why your skin care routine is so important! Make every day a self-care day. Let’s take a look at ways to take care of your skin:
Clean: Regularly cleaning your skin is important to maintaining a healthy and fresh face. Cleansing daily removes buildup of dirt, oil, and debris, boosts hydration, and clears skin of acne. It’s recommended that you find a good cleanser based on your skin type, whether that’s oily, dry, or combination skin.
Exfoliate: After you cleanse, give your skin a fresh start. Exfoliating is the key to removing dead skin and renewing your skin’s natural glow. When regularly exfoliating, you’ll notice clear pores, less acne, an even skin tone, and better circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Moisturize: After you exfoliate, make sure to hydrate your skin with a moisturizer. This helps your skin lock in all the work you’ve done prior to this step. In the morning, you’ll want a lightweight lotion, ideally with sunblock protection. In the evening, you’ll want a night cream, which tends to be thicker and more hydrating.
Remember, It’s never too late to start taking care of your skin. Good skincare keeps you fresh, glowing, and healthy. Prevention is easier than trying to fix the problem later on down the road, so make your face a priority every day. Everyone is different, so find what works for you.
