Recently, I’ve become more aware of my flimsy, prone to peeling nails. I mean, I’ve always been aware of my nails (duh!), but now I’m beginning to notice how much better I feel when I have those nails manicured. They look better, so I feel better.
Since I’m new to caring about my nails, I’m also new to nail trends.
I sometimes find myself perusing Pinterest and pinning different manicures I would like to (but probably never will) try. I’ll pin a cute geometric pattern, a fun stiletto nail and maybe even an edgy studded nail. Although I don’t love every style, I can usually appreciate the style and fact that some one likes it, until I found bubble nails.
Bubble nails — you’ve probably heard of them by now. The question is why? Like, why is this happening? Now, I’m not a nail technician and I don’t really know what goes into the bubble nail all I know is I’m not into it.
“Bubble nails require building and sculpting of the acrylic until you get the look your client wants to achieve. You have to know exactly where the hump is supposed to be and then slowly build the nail. You start with a ball of acrylic in the middle of the nail, which is the highest part of the hump.”
Do you like it? I haven’t met anyone that’s into it, but hey, maybe you are? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
