Have you heard of the minimalist closet movement sweeping the Internet? A capsule wardrobe. The name itself is kind of intriguing. Do I put my wardrobe in a capsule and then open it at a later date? Do I select clothing items from only one decade or genre? Good news, if you’re asking these questions, your over thinking it, and what I’m about to share with you will make your day. If you’re down to simplify your wardrobe, that is.
Simply put, a capsule wardrobe is a mini wardrobe comprised of really versatile pieces that you LOVE to wear.
According to Caroline from Un-Fancy, a capsule wardrobe is a 37-piece wardrobe including tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear and shoes.
Are you a little freaked out now? I was when I first saw the number 37. How could I possibly survive an entire season (3 months) wearing a combination of only 37 pieces?! Then I saw Caroline’s spring breakdown and felt a little more at ease.
That doesn’t look too bad. I think I could handle that! To learn how to build a capsule wardrobe and a few FAQ’s check out Caroline’s blog here!
Now I know what I’ll be doing this week! Are you going to pare down + give this a try?
