Why Sunscreen is a Must for Your Skin

Everyone tells you, “make sure to wear sunscreen!” Do you listen? I have to be honest, I don’t always remember to put on sunscreen when I know I’m going to be outside for awhile, but that’s about to change.

I went to a softball game last weekend and forgot to grab my sunscreen. I just wasn’t thinking about it because I wasn’t heading to the pool. As you might have expected I got a little pink. It got me thinking, why is sunscreen so important, other than sunburns are terrible and, you know, skin cancer!

  1. Protecting your skin from the sun helps prevent age spots and skin discoloration.
  2. Sunscreen helps reduce the appearance of facial red veins and blotchiness.
  3. It slows down aging and wrinkles!
  4. Did I mention skin cancer?

If these aren’t enough reason to remember your SPF, I don’t know what is!
