With the film award season upon us I thought it would be interesting to look at some of the latest Fashion Films out on the Fashion Film Festival circuit.
What is a fashion film? They are short films produced by fashion brands, but they are not commercials! And the latest crop of shorts, according to The Business of Fashion, is splendid in their storytelling. The films not only showcase some of the clothes by the brand, but the most engaging part is the communication of the brand’s essential values.
These films are anything from quirky, and fun, and light, to dark, and mysterious, and very deep. Some will tell a story, or history of the label. Sometimes they might seem like a music video, but always fashion plays a character within the story. They are well worth a few minutes to check out.
I found my favorite to be “Crush”.
