Aside from having magic hands, there are a few other things you should master if you want to score that dream Massage Therapist Job. We all know how you get a job, you apply, and interview (sometimes 2 or 3 times), so let’s take a look at that first step.
THE APPLICATION – A lot of higher end spas or massage clinics these days, along with other businesses have done away with paper applications, and it is all done online, so you can apply from the comfort of your very own home. The most important thing you want to have ready is your resume, speaking from experience I can tell you a lot of employers will not even give your application a look through if you have not taken the time to attach your resume. To a hiring manager, a resume shows many things such as responsibility, professionalism, and not to mention computer skills. Creating your resume can be a daunting and difficult task, but don’t let it get to you; there are tons of different templates and other means of assistance with creating your resume. Find a template you like and just fill in the blanks, and it doesn’t hurt to get a second and third set of eyes to look over it. A few key points to your resume:
